High fasting glucose
Sir/Mam, yesterday I had my mother's fasting glucose checked and it came 126mg/dl. Her blood glucose till now has always come normal and she is otherwise perfectly healthy except for being overweight. How should we proceed?

Hello Dear, You can get cher checked for HbA1c test which shows the blood sugar levels for the past three months. Based on that report, we can conclude whether she is suffering from diabetes or not.

Consult any endocrinologist for management of overweight condition and diabetes mellitus. Overweight condition or central obesity is a major predisposing factor of diabetes mellitus. Start on diabetic diet daily. Avoid sugar,potato and other diabetic prone diet. Donot panic. If diabetes is not related to family history of duabetes among her parents or 1st degree relatives,than diabetes is also curable.
