High blood sugar level
My mother is diabetic.. she has some medications from govt. Hospital. Recently she checked her blood sugar level which was fasting 196 and non fasting 395. what should she do and give me proper direction in this regards..

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Her sugars are not in control. Take her to a diabetologist. She may need some change in the medications. Also she needs to make some dietary changes and lifestyle changes. She should avoid foods with high glycemic index like rice, coconut etc. She should have a high protein and a high fiber diet. Hello.... Her blood sugar is not under control... She may need insulin administration to bring blood sugar under control, dose is adjusted by physician...once blood sugar comes under control she can manage with diet, medicines ...Take her to some good hospital .......
