Hemisacralization of L5
Dear doctor/s, I happen to have this lower left back pain for more than 2-3 years but was bearable and considered it to be a ordinary back pain just like everyone gets. Recently from the past one week the pain increased and I was adviced to take a endospine MRI scan and happened to find out that I have a condition called hemisacralization of lumbar L5 occurring to be the cause of the back pain. I want to know how serious the condition is and what are the choices i have got to get rid of the pain. I am also contemplating alopathy or ayurvedic treatment for this since I have no idea as to what this is and/whether its curable. Kindly help me out. Thanks in advance.

Sacralization of L5 vertebra is not uncomon. If you have severe backpain your MRI may be showing some problem like a disc buge. Usually few days of bed rest and some analgesics may be sufficient. Sacralization in itself does not need to be treated but any associated pressure or instability may need so.
Next Steps
An erect xray of the spine in forward and backward bending will show if there is any instability. Visit your spine surgeon for further details
Health Tips
Avoid lifting wieghts and avoid sqatting.
