Height increase
My friend is 19 years old and her height is 4’11. Her vitamin D level is 5 only, is vitamin D reason for height not increasing? Is this possible to increase height now?

Height can't be increased only with vitamin D. The levels below 30nmol/L is low. The height of a person mainly depends upon their genetics. Height may increase some more up to the age of 22. But Vit. D deficiency may cause serious bony deformities, joint pain and back ache. It's better to take Vit. D ( 60K units) per week in the form of granules or syrup or tablets

Vitamin D is usually not a reason for small height in the absence of features of rickets/osteomalacia. The most common reason for small height is constitutional or familial. There is still hope to gain some height if growth plates aren't fused. Vitamin D supplements should be started with 2000 IU daily, at the earliest.
