Hoarseness of recent onset may be due to laryngitis. The most important treatment is to rest your voice. Do not strain your voice, take plenty of oral fluids, take steam inhalation. If it is due to simple laryngitis the voice will clear within a week.
Next Steps
Consult an experienced ENT surgeon for FOL if the voice does not clear within a week.
Health Tips
Don't strain your voice as it will make the hoarseness worse.
