Heavy bleeding during periods
Hi doctor, I am 3months postpartum now. My baby is not on breastfeeding. I was having heavy in between bleeding last month so was recommended pause and as it didn't work so was prescribed regesterone for 10days but took it only for 5days. My ultrasound was clear and doctor said the issue was due to hormonal imbalance. On the last day of regesterone medicine I had unprotected sex for which I took Ipill . After 7 days , my periods started and it got very heavy with clots from 3rd day. Today is 4th day and still I am bleeding profusely but cramps have minimised a little but bleeding is very heavy. Please suggest what to do.

You should take heavy doses of regesterone and when bleeding is controlled you should taper off the dose of medicine. You should consider using oral contraceptive. For further information please contact me on Practo.
