Absence of periods during postpartum
I had a C-section 7 months ago and exclusively breastfed my baby for the first 6 months. One month after delivery, I got two consecutive monthly periods, but they have completely stopped for the last 6 months. A home pregnancy test is negative and there is no chance of pregnancy. Very rarely, I experience very mild pelvic pain and a mild watery discharge. Is this normal?

Periods stopping again after two early cycles is a common pattern while you're still breastfeeding. Prolactin from nursing can suppress ovulation on and off for many months. An irregular restart like yours is not a sign of pregnancy or a problem.
Next Steps
Keep track of any bleeding or spotting. Mention the mild pelvic pain and watery discharge to your gynaecologist at your next visit, so these can be checked separately from your breastfeeding-related cycle changes.
Health Tips
See your doctor sooner if the pelvic pain increases, the discharge changes colour or smell, or you get a fever.
