Hearing problem
My father is 80 years old he has hearing problem.He doesnt listen properly.when we go closer to his hear then he.listens,is it compulsory to consult a doctor for hearing device

He might be suffering from presbyacusis which is age related hearing loss. Only treatment available is hearing aids. Doctors consultation is necessary to clear out wax if there is any and also to rule out other ear related issues which might need treatment before use of hearing aids. Then you can consult an Audiologist for audiogram and appropriate hearing aid fitting
