Hypothyroidism causes fluid retention as well neuropathy. Excess fluid retention in inner ear can cause Meniere's Ds. While neuropathy can cause neurological deafness.
Next Steps
Treating the thyroid disease itself should be able to help with restoring hearing if no irreversible damage has been done
