Hello, I understand your concern
From the description, this looks like a mild head injury — small cut, cried immediately, played normally afterward, no vomiting, no drowsiness, no seizures, no abnormal behavior. Headache after a fall can happen and usually settles.
If vaccinations are up to date, usually no extra tetanus dose needed for a small clean cut.
Next Steps
Observe closely for the next 48 hours: Keep the child near you. Allow normal sleep, but ensure he wakes & responds normally
Treat pain: Paracetamol as per weight every 6 hrs if needed. Avoid ibuprofen if there’s active bleeding
Wound care: Clean gently with clean water
Apply mild antiseptic
Watch for redness/pus/swelling
Rest: Avoid running, cycling, rough play, screen time for 24–48 hrs
