HCQ for viral arthritis
I have consulted my doctor who has prescribed me HCQ for a week for viral arthritis after 20 days of painkiller dose which did not help me much. HCQ+defcort+dolonext dt is now prescribed. Is it safe to take HCQ for viral arthritis. I have very painful joints affecting normal movements. Any suggestions on how do I improve my health and will I recover it arthritis is recurring? Thanks in advance

What are you suffering from? What are  the profession and personal activities? Viral arthritis is a vague diagnosis. You have been prescribed steroids and HCQS is a DMARD which is supposed to work in long term.
Next Steps
focus on your lifestyle and identify the risk factors in your daily activities as cause of your pains.

Hello Practo User, Hcqs is used as a disease modifying drug in Rheumatoid Arthritis. Its role in your condition is debatable. At first place how a viral arthritis diagnosis was made is a bit dicey.
Next Steps
Consult a Rheumatologist and get yourself examined
