HC and AC are lagging 2 weeks
Dear sir/mam, I have undergone color doppler ultrasound today at 34 weeks of pregnancy . findings are HC and AC parameters lagging two weeks i.e 32 weeks. placenta was left anterior with grade 2/3 maturity (somewhere grade2 and somewhere grade 3). Doctor advised to increase protein intake... Can i still improve AC and HC parameters with high protein diet? does maturity of placenta hamper the growth if i take protein diet? blood flow through placenta was normal. fetal weight- 2kg 100 gm

Normally out of the two parameters viz HC and AC ,  we find that one is normal and one is lagging. But if both are lagging then a doubt comes if your date of the last period is correct or not. Your baby weight (2.1 kg at  34 weeks)  is quite good. At this rate the baby will become 3.5 kg when it is born. So there seems to be no evidence of growth restriction.
