Hba1c, Fbs and Rbs values
Pls suggest me iam non diabetic, but frequently checked my sugars. Recently tested my sugars FBS : 102. Hba1c :4.8 RBS :104 at evening. Iam normal or prediabetic . Hba1c, RBs suggest normal FBS suggest pre diabetic range. FBS also fluctuates day to day. Which is accurate to diagnostic pre diabetic ? Hba1c or FBS. Regards.

HbA1C is average of your 3 month fasting , random and 2 hr post meal sugars. It’s the gold stand to diagnose prediabetes or diabetes. it’s more accurate the random or fasting sugar measurementsYou levels are within the normal range. It is not recommended that you check your sugars at home frequently if you are not diabetic or prediabetic
Next Steps
Obtain HBA1C every 6 months, with fasting glucose and insulin levels to monitor for development of prediabetes/ diabetes, particularly if you’re overweight or have family members with diabetes
