Hba1c 8.1% means confirmed diabetes?
Does Hba1c 8.1% means its 'Confirmed' that the person have diabetes or it can't be confirmed only by Hba1c result? If it cant be controlled by diet alone, does it requires to take medicine lifetime? Or medicine not required for lifetime if it comes in control after some days of medicine?

A Hba1c of 8.1 would mean that the Sugars have been high during the last few months and thus it would confirm that the patient has diabetes. This reading would also mean that the patient requires medication to bring down his/her blood sugars.
