It is a sign of low immunity and high pitta. I would advise taking proper consultation with a qualified practitioner and do full root cause analysis before starting any medications.  Also start with HAIP DIET so as reduce inflammation and improve immunity .

"Frequent herpes on lips occurs due to low immunity, stress, or excess heat (pitta). Ayurveda helps by boosting immunity, reducing recurrence, and healing faster with internal medicines and cooling diet. Avoid spicy, oily food and excess stress. I suggest you consult me for a personalized plan.

I understand your concern — herpes on the lips can be very painful and uncomfortable, especially if it’s spreading more than usual this time. What you’re likely describing is **oral herpes**, most commonly caused by Herpes labialis (usually due to Herpes simplex virus type 1, HSV-1). --- ### 🧠 Why It Happens or Worsens (Especially in Older Adults) 1. **Weak immune system:** At 70 years, immunity may be slightly lower, allowing the virus to reactivate more strongly. 2. **Stress or fatigue:** Physical or emotional stress often triggers outbreaks. 3. **Exposure to sun or cold wind:** Can irritate lips and trigger reactivation. 4. **Digestive weakness or high Pitta dosha (Ayurvedic view):** Excess heat in the body (Amla–Pitta) aggravates the condition. 5. **Other illness or medications:** Fever, infections, or medications (like steroids) can lower immunity and cause flare-ups. --- ### 🌿 Ayurvedic Understanding In Ayurveda, this condition is similar to **“Pitta–Kapha dushti”** affecting the **mukha (mouth)** and **twacha (skin)** — resulting in **“Pitta Prakopa”** (heat, burning, inflammation) and **“Visarpa”-like condition** (spreading eruptions). --- ### 🌿 Ayurvedic Remedies (Supportive Care) ⚠️ *Note: These are general remedies for mild to moderate cases. If the lesions are severe or you have fever/weakness, also consult a doctor for antiviral treatment.* #### 1. **External Application** * 🌼 **Ghee with turmeric** – mix a pinch of turmeric in 1 tsp cow’s ghee; apply gently on lips 3–4 times daily. * 🍃 **Aloe vera gel** (fresh, pure) – apply to soothe burning and speed healing. * 🌿 **Coconut oil** – antiviral and cooling; reapply frequently to keep lips moist. #### 2. **Internal Remedies** * 🪷 *****Satva** – 250 mg twice daily with water. (Boosts immunity and cools Pitta.) * 🌿 ******Kwath** – 15–20 ml twice daily with equal water after food. (Blood purifier and Pitta pacifier.) * 🌿 ******Ghan Vati** – 1 tablet twice daily for 5–7 days during flare-up (especially if accompanied by fever or heat). #### 3. **Diet & Lifestyle Tips** * ❌ Avoid: spicy, fried, sour, salty, fermented foods, alcohol, and exposure to strong sun. * ✅ Include: cool foods like boiled vegetables, moong dal soup, coconut water, pomegranate, ghee. * 🧘‍♂️ Practice stress-reducing habits — pranayama (like Sheetali Pranayama), gentle walking. * 🛑 Do not peel or rub the scabs — this delays healing. --- ### 🩺 When to See a Doctor Urgently * Lesions spreading beyond lips (to face or eyes) * Severe pain or fever * Difficulty eating or swallowing * Frequent recurrences In such cases, an antiviral (like Acyclovir) may be needed along with Ayurvedic support. --- ✅ **Summary Ayurvedic Routine for Now:** * Apply ***–ghee or ****vera on lips often. * Take ****Satva + ****Kwath for 10–15 days. * Cool, light diet + avoid spicy/sour foods. * Manage stress and rest well. Would you like me to suggest a **specific Ayurvedic brand name and dosage** suitable for your age for these medicines (so it’s easier to buy)? Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details.

* Firstly, I remind you Ayurveda is not remedial science. It is equal to Allopathy. * And in such Viral condition cases, Remedies are only temporary. Kindly ask for medications in Ayurveda and Not for Remedies. * Herpes is an viral infection due to HERPES VIRUS or Due to reactivation of HSV - 1 VIRUS. * In Ayurveda, we can consider it under SANKRAMIKA ROGA (CONTAGIOUS DISORDER) or may be due to direct skin to skin contact causing painful blisters over lips * Kindly contact Male AYURVEDA PHYSICIAN (GENERAL MEDICINE) for better improvement.

1. Avoid contact, avoid sharing items
