Hard, painful bites
I live in New Mexico, and while out walking through the sagebrush, I accumulated over 10 large, hard, painful bites on one leg. They are approximately the size of a US quarter, are both itchy and painful, and are oozing clear fluid from what appears to be the bite site. There is a group by my ankle, which seem to also be turning purple.
