My husband had a fall on 6th this month from steps and his one side bum has swollen with pain and then it become a hard lump and he is experiencing pain when riding bike and pressing the area. He ignored after the fall thinking it will heal on its own and applied some pain balm, now he is very worried as the swelling seems to be as is, please suggest what can be done now, he is planning to visit a doctor anyways tomorrow but I am worried if this could be a pelvic area rupture or something more serious.

Most likely the swelling is an hematoma due to collection of the blood at the time of injury. To confirm get an ultrasound scan of the affected area and consult with a general surgeon in your area.

Kindly go to a general surgeon in a hospital and get him evaluated, as there can be a risk of hematoma (blood accumulation in a specific area) or muscle damage leading to a swelling.
It needs to be evaluated by a general surgeon.
Instead of an online consultation kindly go to a hospital for a detailed physical examination and DEFINITIVE TREATMENT.
