Hairline ankle fracture burning sensatio
Hello. I am having hairline ankle fracture, almost 2 weeks now. As i was getting swelling doc put a plaster a week ago. Doc had advised to keep leg raised, now whenever i put my leg down I'm getting serious burning sensation near the injured area followed by pain. I get releif only after i raise my leg again. Is this normal? Doc had asked to keep plaster for 3 weeks so il be visiting doc after 3 weeks. Do i need to consult now due to burning sensation?

Care AI Shimmer
There might be a issue with the plaster, it may be too tight, that is why there is burning sensation followed by pain when you keep your foot down, and you get relieved on elevating the leg.
Next Steps
At 2 weeks, swelling reduces generally so these issues are uncommon.
Health Tips
Share x-rays. If plaster is tight, then it needs urgent removal and replaster.
