Hairfall is not due to one single cause. There are many conditions which can cause extreme hair loss and thinning of hair on the scalp. So first and foremost we have to find the cause of hair fall with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes maybe nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia also called pattern baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and read the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Also one should refrain from home remedies as it does not give any relief from hair fall. Oil and shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin. Please contact me using online consultation for proper diagnosis and treatment

Excessive hairfall can be due to any acute stress or deficiencies in blood or prolonged illness. Excessive dandruff may also led to hairfall.
Next Steps
I would need to know detailed history before prescribing medicines. You can consult me online for detailed prescription and management.
Health Tips
• Wash and condition your hair regularly to keep your scalp healthy and free from dirt and problems such as dandruff. • Avoid using too much of blow dryers or straightening irons on your hair. • Drink lots of water and eat lots of raw fruits and fresh vegetables. • Keep your hair-styling tools, especially hair brushes, neat and clean • Don’t pull your hair too tightly while hair styling. • Don’t use too much chemicals, as these end up damaging your hair totally. • Do not opt for hair treatments such as perming, straightening, colouring, etc. • Reduce your stress.
