Get an X-ray done to check the position of the wisdom tooth and your dentist will advise you accordingly. Do hot water gargles with salt to give relief from pain
It looks like your wisdom tooth has partially erupted and it is not going to further erupt because of lack of space and even the age for its eruption has surpassed. You have a condition called pericoronitis where there is swelling of the gums above the wisdom molar due to accumulation of plaque and food debris and inability to remove it completely. Kindly get a full mouth X-ray called OPG done. The wisdom molar will have to be removed as wisdom teeth do not help in chewing and it is not going to erupt further.
Hello sir....
wisdom teeth is one that fails to erupt in its normal position in the given period of time...
CONSEQUENCE OF WISDOM TEETH:
**PERICORONITIS(GUM SWELLING)
**food lodgement and bad breathe
**soreness of jaw
**Difficulty in opening the mouth(trismus)
**ulcer formation on sides of cheek due to cuts with sharp cusps of wisdom teeth
The only treatment is surgical removal of wisdom teeth followed by analgesics and antibiotics
Get an OPG(x-ray) dane to check for the position of wisdom teeth....
