Gum over back tooth
I just noticed today there’s a flap of gum over my right backside tooth I can see a small piece of my. Tooth I feel it’s. Bit swollen and has a mild pain what should I do

Hi Please visit a Dentist. Swelling and pain on the gum can be due to upper tooth pinching on that gum. If there is a scope for smoothening the upper tooth cusp , your dentist will do that. By the time you can can take painkillers. Your dentist will also advice you x-rays and decide the permanent solution for you accordingly.That is extraction of your wisdom molar if needed. Your 3rd molar is erupting or has partly erupted and you have a condition known as pericoronitis. As of now just do warm salt water rinsing and nothing else, 3 to 4 times a day. An x-ray known as an OPG is required to further guide you.

As of now try to keep that area clean by brushing and do lukewarm salt water gargle every two hours and take pain killers pain will come down. Visit to nearby dentist,they will take x-ray of the tooth.After assessing the position of tooth they will tell the exact treatment
