Swollen and bleeding gums are due to plaque and tartar accumulation. All you need is oral prophylaxis ie ultrasonic scaling.It would remove these hard tooth like deposits also the ones beneath the gums which is not possible with normal brushing.

Hi I am a periodontist. This is a gum swelling which will come down after scaling and deep cleaning. Visit dentist for treatment. If it doesn't resolve on its own after few days post scaling it might have to be removed by a minor surgical procedure. You can massage the gums for faster relief
