My vitamin D is around 5 ng/ml. I thought of taking vitamin d 60k tablets. Is it okay to take, if so how long should I take it to bring it above 40ng/ml?

Less of vitamin d may be many causes at first reduce stress ,take proper sleep ,follow healthy lifestyle.
Add morning sunbath 15 min under sun before 9:00 pm.
Take ur milk +soaked almond for better absorption.
Add egg yolk ,fish liver oil ,milk product in diet .
Take ur meal as combined form .

And then you can continue taking 1000 to 4000IU daily for two months

Take sun bath for 1/2an hour every morning. Use Basket of water charched with sunlight to bath. use more and more milk products. you may also use animal products if your are non vegetarian. Nuts and Dry fruits in limited amount will also help you.
