My wife is 4 months pregnant now. Her front tooth gum has grown up till the edge of the front tooth. Is this a serious issue to be concerned??

During pregnancy it is quite normal to have hormonal changes and because of this there can be swelling of the gums so if your wife is in second trimester get scaling done and maintain good oral hygiene

Hello sir this is due to pregnancy induced gum inflammation .every women before getting pregnant they have to undergo professional cleaning if they didn't means it will result like this only. Now you have to visit dentist .we can't do cleaning at present because of 8 months pregnant .we have to provide palliative care only now.she has to use mouth wash and gum paint which will reduce gum inflammation a little bit.no need to get worried. Thank you

hi During pregnancy a lot of hormonal changes occur which reflect in oral health too. The condition that you are describing is Pregnancy gingivitis.Since she is in second trimester you can take her for a thorough dental check up.Again during third trimester, dental procedures are not advisable.
