Grade 4 adenoids
Hello, My daughter is almost 6 yrs old. She has constant cough and cold. She had been on montair lc and multiple sprays over the last year. Then she got much better. Again due to weather conditions, in the near 4 months she has picked up cold and we had to give her a course of antibiotics almost every month for the last 3 months. She's on seroflo spray morning and night and otrivin spray for the last one month. She still has nose blocks, snores on and off in the night. Her weight is 22.6 and her activities are normal otherws. Doc suggested removal of adenoids as it is at grade 4. We took a CT scan as well. I do know she will get better once the weather improves but I don't know if I can Keri get from cold and infection till then. Do I opt for surgery or can I wait? I tried homeopathy for the last few weeks but don't see improvement. Also she gets stomach pains with homeo. I want to avoid surgery. Will the adenoids shrink or is surgery the only option? Pl advise. Thank you.

As your child is beyond 5years of age, she has crossed the age of natural regression of the adenoids. Surgery is her only option. Her best option is for LASER or Coblation assisted Adenotonsillotomy

The best treatment of choice is surgery.. in case you don't want to opt for surgery is to take antiallergic syp. But it will symptomatic treatment and temporary one. It can recur.. it has a chance to atrophy on its own by the age by 12-15 yrs. But with these symptoms it's not advisable to wait.
