Hydrochlorthiazide can cause  slight increase but this is in v low dose and unlikely to cause high uric acid which compels you to stop such a nice drug for Hypertension

Hello! I'm Dr. Nikhil Aggarwal. Tezloc 40 mg is a medication that contains Telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that is used to treat high blood pressure, while hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that helps to reduce excess fluid in the body. Regarding your question, there is some evidence to suggest that hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic, can increase the level of uric acid in the blood, which can lead to gout in some people. However, this is not a common side effect and usually occurs in people who are already at risk for gout. As for kidney damage, both Telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide can affect kidney function, especially in people with pre-existing kidney disease. However, this is also not a common side effect and usually occurs in people who are already at risk for kidney problems. It is important to note that the benefits of Tezloc 40 mg usually outweigh the risks for most people who take it. However, if you have concerns about the medication or are experiencing any side effects, I recommend speaking with me. I can help you determine if Tezloc 40 mg is the right medication for you and monitor your kidney function and uric acid levels if necessary.
