hello, it is difficult to diagnose the problem without an x-ray. you need to get it checked clinically from an endodontist.

Dear Practo User, Cause of your pain could be treated tooth aur any other tooth. To get to a proper diagnosis OPG would be required. Kindly get it done. Post that in the consult section of practo to get the best opinion. Regards Dr Ankit Jain Arham Dental Care, Delhi

If the Re RCt has been done perfectly and dental xray report shows no issues then possibility of an extraction of the affected tooth is high. Please consult an endodontist (rct specialist). Good Luck.

I can only comment on a situation like yours after examining you and seeing your radiographs (xrays). If it looks feasible, we must attempt to save the tooth. Else, extraction would be the only other option we shall be left with.

Sorry for your pain even after spending a lot of time and money. Please take a second opinion from a qualified doctor especially an endodontist.

Sorry to hear what you are going through .It must be tough for you.Ideally speaking get an OPG x-ray done as suggested by fellow practitioners. This will give complete picture of what is happening underneath the crowned tooth .If there is problem with the way Rct was done that can be seen in X-ray or if the gums surrounding tooth are infected coupled with poor oral hygiene practises can also cause tooth pain.Get yourself evalauted at the earliest .All the best.

We need to get digital OPG done,  to know the cause,  it might be due to periodontal problem(gum) or incorrect RCT..? ( shot,  missing or over obstruction),  Before commenting on any option need to examine and see X-ray.  So that we can rule out cause.
Next Steps
Get OPG done
Health Tips
Regular oral prophylactic method should be followed (brushing,  flossing,  mouth wash) to avoid food being stuck below crown(cap) .

Hi, First a full mouth xray ( OPG) should be done to evaluate the root canals done & after thorough clinical examination only the problem can be diagnosed & treated. If there is dull pain which is indicative of gum problem (maybe because of food lodgement where the caps are put) then accordingly it should be treated by professional teeth cleaning & keeping the area clean between caps by using a small brush called interdental brush.
