May I know how long a GIC and composite sandwich restoration for a deep cavity will last if good oral hygiene is maintained? Also, what is the usual mode of treatment once this filling needs to be replaced? Is RCT the only option or can any other fillings/inlays/onlays be used?

If good oral hygiene is maintained, these fillings can last fairly long. However, it is important to go for follow up appointments every 6 months to ensure if there is any sign of failure it can be replaced immediately to avoid a root canal.
