I generally advise gic fillings on non biting surfaces because it tends to wear off after sometime and so you will have to get it replaced in future...

GIC fillings are permanent fillings. They stay for quite a long duration (depending on your type of food intake, supari, tobacco, etc.). The charges are quite nominal.
