Getting fearful and emotional
Of late I've become very fearful. Specially the fear of getting a deadly disease. For myself or my loved ones. I've also noticed that I quickly become very emotional. Specially when it comes to my 6 years old daughter. Whenever I come across a slightest tear jerker scene or a song I quickly become emotional. Is this normal? Am I having mid life crisis?

Hi... Typically, these kinds of issues arise when a person starts feeling insecure in terms of perceived support (family/friends/social) they have or do not have, in the times of crisis- like a deadly disease, accident, loss of assets/income, etc. Since the pandemic and following economic downturn, these are a very common trend of issues people are reporting. Part of it is clinical and a part of it is social and financial. You need to work upon both. Also, being continuously inside your home 24*7 without any physical activity facilitates the likelihood of such thoughts so start following a healthy routine in terms of proper and timely meals, sleep, exercise and breathing/meditation.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
