Crown can be done immediately after RCT is completed. The type of crown depends on which tooth is being capped, the condition of the tooth and the amount the patient is willing to spend. A good tooth coloured crown like a Porcelain fused to metal( called PFM crown) may cost anywhere from 3000- 6500 depending on the clinic. Zirconia ( metal free crowns) tend to cost more but are more life like. They may range from 7000 to 20000 depending on the type of zirconia used. For a tooth at the back of the mouth even a full metal crown can be chosen. It is quite strong, the cost varies from 1200 to 3000 depending on the clinic.
Health Tips
In rare cases when the dentist is not sure about the prognosis of the root canal they may advise you to wait for a few weeks.
