Gestational diabetes @ 34 weeks
Hello, I am 34 weeks 3 days pregnant, diagonised with gestational diabetes. Reports as attached. Is it too late to start medicines now?? Will my gestational diabetes cause complications in pregnancy. Baby weight as of 32 weeks 3 days (Lmp) was 2261gm. And AFI was 18.8. kindly advise. If i should take medicines??. If yes, what medicines? Insulin or Megavog, coz my doc hv asked me my preference or either tablets or injections.

Insulin is the only approved therapy for GDM. Metformin and glibenclamide has been used off label. Pl discuss with your doctor the merits and demerits
