Suffering from Gerd with esophagitis hiatus hernia and doctor advised to Start HP kit H pylori medicine after taking this medicines I face lot of gas in stomach. Is it common or Need to take some additional medicines

GERD with hiatus hernia with esophagitis warrants either long term treatment with PPI or a one time definitive surgery in the form of Fundoplication(a better option considering esophagitis). Bloating may be because of the antibiotic component of HP kit.

HP kits contain antibiotics in higher than usual dosage since H pylori is a resistant bacteria. It also contain PPIs that are basically antacids. It’s common to have some form of bloating belching after this. If it’s severe, consult the doctor again
