Geographic Tongue
I am facing tongue issues since 17th June. I get small ulcer on tongue. They them start spreading and gets different reddish colour on some portion of tongue. I consulted ENT and he after blood testsentukned that this is geographic tongue. It heals and then ulcers appears again. My vitamin B12 is low and total ige is high(376). My ESR, ANA profile and CBC are normal. Please suggest if this is geographic tongue and how long would it take to heal completely. My doctor mentioed that there is no need to worry. I jave attached one of the picture as well of my tongue.

Dear patient I totally agree with your doctor. This indeed is geographic tongue. The patches and patterns on the tongue in this condition keep on changing but it is a harmless condition and there is nothing to worry about. You just try and need not to worry too much. All you need to do is to have a healthy diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Please do no overthink about it !! Stay healthy :)
