Gdm 6th month is metformin good
Dear doctor
Ive been using metformin 500mg 2 tabs even before pregnancy as i had pcod. Post pregnancy 1 tab as i dont hav fasting sugar and after sugar detection in early of 4th month started again with 2 tabs 500mg each. Now im in 6th month. Heard that insulin is better than metformin in late pregnancy. Kindly advise if it is good to continue metform at this stage or need insulin

It is better to continue metformin. Insulin can be added later if sugar levels rise furthur. Also, testings of sugar should be more frequent from 7th month as the chances of rise in levels are higher
