Symptoms that keep returning as soon as medication stops suggest an underlying cause that hasn't been treated yet, rather than just a functional issue. Year-long gastric symptoms with nausea that worsen without medication can indicate gastritis, H. pylori infection, or early GERD — all of which need proper diagnosis rather than ongoing symptomatic treatment alone.
Next Steps
Get an H. pylori test (stool antigen or breath test), LFT, and an ultrasound abdomen done. Consult a gastroenterologist for a proper diagnosis so the root cause can be treated rather than just managing symptoms repeatedly. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
