Gas after subtotal colectomy
Is having gas problem normal after subtotal colectomy ?This procedure has been done due to Slow colon transit(colonic inertia) on 27.03.2019...Saturday evening suddenly after passing stools severe pain originated in back  and then radiated to abdomen and lasted for 15 minutes and then subsided after one belch...Now gas keeps moving in intestines and I am passing foul smelling gas also..will I never get cured of this problem??plz reply...Also suggest what type of diet should I take???

It takes time to recover from a major surgery. Intestinal oedema take months to settle down. The intestinal movements takes months to come t o a stable schedule and habit.
