Frequent motion
Hi All My 16 months son is frequently doing normal motion for every 2 hours, he is active and having food normally and stools are very normal. Can you kindly suggest if this is normal or suggest if any medicine is required. Thanks Venkat

Hi sir, An 1.4yrs old child passing stools fr 12times  a day is surely abnormal though the consistency of his stools is normal,frequency s on a higher side... It could be a GI infection (stomach infection)...

we can use probiotics like bifilac to overcome this problem. 1/2 sachet thrice a day fr 1 week... Probiotics are available in foods (such as yogurt, milk, juices, soy beverages)

Dear Venkat , As per what u said your child is passing stools every 2nd hrly .How is the quantity of stools ? How is the consi6of stools ? And how is the colour and smell of stools ? A 16 month old baby passing stools 10-12times is not normal . Thanking you, Dr Sujit
