What is the normal recovery time for surgical correction of long bone fracture & how much time need to write and eat with my hand...???

It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks for fracture to heal and another four weeks you should take to use the limb for writing and lifting objects

It takes around 6-8 wks for the fracture to unite if done properly and pt factors. But need to take care till the xray shows uniting fracture..take xrays at 6& 12 wks.

Healing time for upper limb long bones is 4 to 6 weeks and for lower limb 6 to 8 weeks. Getting back to writing and eating for you, it might take another 2 to 4 weeks depending upon response to rehabilitation.
