You can take leave but surgeon won’t give for more than 15 days . Then again if you are not able to work properly then extend it . Every one has different job profile and every fracture has different care .

How long back you have sustained a fracture. Also get a fresh x ray of your ankle done .
Next Steps
yes if you are having pain and swelling over your ankle and x ray shows inadequate healing leave can be recommended
