Forearm Stiffness
I got operated distal radius surgery for left hand on 1st june. After that Dr suggested to do finger movements and I did regularly. Yesterday surgery suiters were removed and dr told to do rotate forearm but it couldn't it stucked in the bent position.Attached pic for the same. And I couldn't stright my hand while doing my hand bent at elbow. As per the dr advise I tried to rotate forearm but it was not rotating all. I couldn't get supernation pronation postures. How to get my hand into Normal work. How long will it take? What are the excercises do I need do? Is this normal ? Or Some thing weird? My surgery done 15 days before only. Should I go for physiotherapy now or after some time? Please explain.

Visit physiotherapy clinic and start mobilization exercises, as you delayes it will become stiff and later it wont be able to recover to its full extent. Do not neglect it, start physio treatment.

Pls first of all relax ,don’t be so stressed. It’s a normal treatment protocol. It’s the right time now or I can still see some bandaging done ,so the time it’s removed you can go for physiotherapy session.your therapist will start with mobilisation and dry needling will also help you.He will suggest you some home program exercises, just be regular with them and your hand will be fine in less than a month time.
