Foot Swelling
I twisted my foot while i was walking 1 week ago. Since then i have swelling on my ankle. I went for consultation doctor suggests i may have occult fracture. Swelling has not gone down and i have difficulty in walking.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate you  in detail. -Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or  metabolic disorder, if there is any. -Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. -(You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Keep a  pillow under the foot. --. Hello maam , i understand your concern . Swelling post ankle or foot twist will take time some time it take few weeks to reduce . Reason for this is we dont stop walking or puting weight on the foot .we dont give rest to it. Fracture i wont be able to comment as its not clearly visible xrays apperas dark in photo so difficult but i can appreciate joint line is good. So less likely their will be fracture . If swelling not reducing in 10 -12 days and still difficultly in walking  then you need and MRI OF THE ANKLE JOINT   to rule out ligamanent injury  . If their is tear in ligament of ankle then management will be different
Next Steps
keep 2 pillow limb elevation foot should be above heart level. ice application three time per day for 20 minute each time . keep ice in cloth and then apply. crape bandage is useful if applied properly . avoid applying tight or very tight ,it will lead to increase swelling and pain disturbed blood supply to foot and toes  and creat other prblms pain and swelling medicine .
