I have had a foot corn for many months now and it pains a lot. Earlier I thought it would go away by itself but it has grown and hurts too much while I walk!

A long standing corn not responding to local measures and causing persistent pain needs to be removed through a small surgery done under local anesthesia.
Next Steps
Use soft sole footwear (MCR preferably)
consult a surgeon for corn excision.

Change Footwear sir. Use soft sole such as MCR or Crocs. This will not go away by itself or corn caps. You need removal of the corn by a small surgery. You will also need medicines for pain.
Next Steps
consult a specialist for pain medications. Meet a Surgeon/ Plastic surgeon at your convenience for removal of the corn
