A benign colloid nodule goitre especially in a diabetic must be regularly monitored(TSH every 3 months, Ultrasonography-Thyroid annually). Any hormone imbalance must be corrected. Surgery is only indicated if the ultrasonography shows changes in behaviour of the nodule.
If you are located in Bangalore, you are welcome to meet me regularly to keep his thyroid problem under control.
