Colloid nodule at left lobe of thyroid
A colloid nodule formed at left lobe of thyroid of my wife. Is surgery needed or it can be cured by medicine

If your wife's fine needle aspiration cytology report and ultrasound reports are suggestive of colloid nodule and Thyroid function tests are normal then medicines can't be used to cure this condition. Since it's a benign condition surgery is also optional and need to be done only for cosmetic reasons
