Atypical thyroid biopsy (atypia of undetermined significance or follicular lesion of undetermined significance, AUS/FLUS):
This happens when there are some abnormal/atypical cells in the biopsy sample but not enough to diagnose a cancer.
Next Steps
Repeat the biopsy if needed.
