yrs back scrotum swelling maynot be linked with filariasis....however without more history can't tell exactly though.filariasis may take months to years to develop....but there are other symptoms like swelling legs ,itching,pain etc....

Filariasis shows its effects by the dead larvae which block the lymphatic channels. This leads to swelling of the organs.
So it is not the time period which the organism takes to produce the disease after entering the body . That may vary. In some cases the classical disease may not develop at all.

Filariasis is not the only cause of scrotal swelling. There are also other symptoms of filariasis. Kindly consult a general physician for detail evaluation
