Fever with 104 from.last 3 days even after anti biotec given Malaria negative Plate count 250k Symptoms: fever with cold, cough, every 4 or 5 hrs temperature goes to near to 104

Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely. If mild,just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. Use syp combiflam instead of plain paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required. If not improving OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or breathlessness or wheezing and refusal to feed or dullness,consult your paediatrician asap.
