Hi Platelets are blood cells that help with clotting, and it is essential to maintain their levels. However, some people have thrombocytopenia, or a low platelet count, which means they have to find ways to increase their levels. You can include following foods to increase the platelets 1. Lean meats such as fish, chicken and turkey rich in protein, zinc and Vitamin B12, all of which help increase the blood platelet count. 2. Beans contain Vitamin B9 or folate which greatly helps boost the blood platelet count. 3. Some other foods rich in B9 are spinach, asparagus, and oranges. 4. Papaya leaf 5. Spanish 6. pomegranate 7.
