Fever in child
My 4 yr old is having fever from 3 days up to 101. Earlier he had cold and cough with fever which is now better
After 2 days of fever doctor did tests like typhoid, dengue, urine
All came normal
Still kid having fever
What could be the reason
Pls do reply

Viral fever takes time to decrease

Just keep on giving appropriate dose of paracetamol every 8 th hrly
You can intermittent cold sponging
But even after 7-10 days fever persists consult doctor immediately

your history tells us that the child is suffering from viral fever and in viral fever you have to give only symptomatic treatment that is for fever have to give paracetamol(max 4 times per day if needed) and plenty of water to drink and at least 60 to 70% of the regular diet and if the fever continues beyond 3 days then meet the doctor
please do body sponge that is body wiping to decrease the body temperature with wet cotton cloth.
